Research

Research of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Critical Care Medicine centers around interdisciplinary investigations of infection immunology, particularly emphasizing on infectious diseases such as COVID-19, MPVX (monkeypox), and malaria. The department also performs research on vaccination strategies, interdisciplinary investigations in lung immunity, translational research, as well as clinical trials. Numerous experimental research groups are part of the Specialty Network of Infectious Diseases and Respiratory Medicine.
